PEPPERMINT PUFF COOKIES

2 egg whites, beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 drops peppermint flavoring
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix sugar, cream of tartar and peppermint flavoring. Slowly add to egg whites (beaten stiff). Fold in chocolate chips. These cookies can be varied with adding coconut or nuts or food coloring. Bake at 250 degrees for 35 minutes on a cookie sheet lined with brown paper. Drop by teaspoon about half of teaspoon. Try coloring green for Girl Scout functions! Girls love them!
